The unprecedented ongoing current situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic, and resulting Government advice on social gatherings, has forced the Committee of Ponteland Rugby Club, as Organisers of the Ponteland Beer Festival, to review our staging of the annual event, originally planned to take place over the weekend of 24th to 26th April.
In light of the uncertainties created by these conditions, we have taken the decision to postpone the Festival, but can confirm that it has been rescheduled, and will now take place over the weekend of 30th October to 1st November inclusive.
All of the pre-booked Musical entertainment have confirmed their availability, together with our Food and drink suppliers, so our weekend can take place as originally planned, but with a Halloween feel added to it!
You will be aware that the Event is organised by volunteers from Ponteland Rugby Club, and represents our main fundraising event of the year. Cancellation of the Festival would be catastrophic for our Club, and so we sincerely hope that we can count on your continued support.
Ticket Sales have been tracking 30% up on our previous years, and with numbers restricted each day, we anticipate the event will still sell out.
We will reopen ticket sales on this website from 31st March, and so would urge you to book your place as soon as possible for the rescheduled weekend in October.
We hope that we will see you all in October and thank you for your continued support.
Ponteland Rugby Club.
Again running to an extended third day, with the addition of Family Sunday, there will be over 150 real ales, lagers and ciders from a selection of local and national brewers to choose from.
There will also be our very popular Prosecco and Wine Bar, together with Soft Drinks on sale and a Gin Bar offering a selection of artisan gins with Fentimans providing the soft drinks and mixers.
While there's no doubt that your thirst will be well taken care of, you'll be able to satisfy your hunger too.
This year, we have a terrific choice of Street Foods on sale supplied by Angel Street Food and Toro.
Restaurant quality in a box and extremely good value.
Another terrific line-up will perform over the weekend including new performers Folk Soul Brothers, Union Street, Maverick Rejects, Redwings and Bay 6. There will be a Rugby Tournament on Saturday afternoon on the adjacent pitch.
On Sunday there will be fun for all the family including a Fun Fair and Junior Rugby Festival as well as music from Ponteland Community Band, Ponteland Rock Choir, and the Hound Cats.
